A Plano Texas native, Ryne grew up playing all sports focusing on hockey once he hit high school. After playing in Dallas, Ryne went to Hoosac(NY) and New Hampton(NH) Boarding Schools to play hockey and lacrosse, and later played junior hockey before heading to college. Ryne attended Xavier University where he studied athletic training and continued his education at Merrimack College, receiving a master’s degree in exercise and sports science. During his time at Merrimack, Ryne served as a Grad Asst. Strength and Conditioning Coach at Tufts University, working with hockey, lacrosse, baseball, softball, swimming, sailing and crew teams. Ryne then worked for Ben Prentiss at Prentiss Human Performance in Stamford, Connecticut training Olympic, pro, college and youth athletes. While with Ben Prentiss, Ryne was able to work with Brunswick School(CT), Taft School(CT) and the New York Rangers(NHL).
